Mindset Means Everything!

The scarecrow thought he was without a brain. His mindset was such that he could not think, yet throughout the movie he made wise decisions to help their circumstances. We realize through this that it was not how smart he was, but the mindset he had at the heat of the moment. Mindset is everything. Our mindset will determine our promotion to the next level in our job. example: If I go to work everyday with the mindset that, what is the boss going to do for me, this will create disappointment. The same is when I go to church to see what God is going to do for me. Instead I should go to work daily to see how I can help my boss and his business, what can I do to make it better and make it grow. In church, I should enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise and be thankful unto Him. My mindset determines how I respond and react to the church service. When we face situations in our life, our mindset will determine the outcome of that situation. Mindset: "In a fixed mindset, people believe their basic qualities, like their intelligence or talent, are simply fixed traits. They spend their time documenting their intelligence or talent instead of developing them. They also believe that talent alone creates success—without effort. They’re wrong."
"In a growth mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work—brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment. Virtually all great people have had these qualities."
"Teaching a growth mindset creates motivation and productivity in the worlds of business, education, and sports. It enhances relationships."

We must be willing to listen to others to help our mindset. Some people think that being dogmatic and standing on something that was taught for years is the only way to go. This thinking takes everyone out of the seeking (God) process and put us in a (I Got This) mindset and nothing can change. Today we need to be as forward thinking at the thinkers of the past and renew our mind by the Word of God and let the Holy Spirit continue to show us, lead us and guide us to success in Jesus Christ and what His original intent is for our world today. We sometimes seem stumped in ministry today because things are changing around us. We have to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit enough to know what we need to do to change and see people ministered to. Change is life! We will see a move of God if we change, but if we expect something with out a mindset change, it will grow stale and never prosper. Let's pray and seek the face of God about the need of our people and ask for a mindset change to see the need of the world today. Heaven is awaiting!

A "Move of God"

re·viv·al
rəˈvīvəl/
noun
an improvement in the condition or strength of something.
an instance of something becoming popular, active, or important again.
I have had the opportunity to participate in many revival services.
The experience was different at each one. The one thing I found different from one to the next, is that some were just planned services and other were spontaneous moves of God that created scheduled services and the Holy Spirit hovered around these services seemingly each night. The pre-planned services were good but not life-changing and did not seem to improve the condition or strength of the people, nor did the atmosphere become more than a shout or feel good. I have been in "Moves Of God" that changed my life and the lives of many for years. It is the kind of service you reflect on year after year. One common denominator of these "Moves Of God" is the organization (Church), is usually having regular prayer times going on, to seek God about a move in the community and the church.  Regular intercession helps to move the Holy Spirit to come and change people and cause them to redirect their mindset and actions in serving the Lord. The services I attended where a speaker was invited for a "Revival Service" was good, but really become a evangelistic service to reach the lost only. This is great, but it is not revival unless people are revived and brought back to a place of right mindset and ready for action in the work of the Lord. Let's make it our priority today to see a spontaneous "Move Of God" in our regular services to see change take place in our churches.

A New Year to win the lost to Jesus

Tho it is not a popular thing to go out and win the lost, if we work daily on our jobs and at school or even in our neighborhood, we can move a community into a revival of change. Lives are being challenged with false religions and ungodly lifestyles that put a wall up to the reality of the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ. The convicting message of the cross is still real and needed. The kingdom work is still needed and it is our responsibility to share this love of Jesus.

In Him,
